The Absent Half Spring 2009 and Autumn 2010, Tehran Based on an award winning novel by Iranian writer “Hossein Sanapour”, The Absent Half is a Promenade-theatre happening in two episodes in Tehran University and streets around. Fifteen members of Audience receive a headphone and are able to chase characters of the play-according to their preference- inside buildings, yards and streets of an important and history making venue of Tehran. Dialogues and sound effects are mixed live and heard through headphones. The drama happens in two important epochs of Iran’s history: first year post Iran revolution and years after cultural revolution.
